Our Instructional Technology Toolkit is a compilation of faculty resources created and maintained by Academic Technologies. VCU Pedagogical Resources

Strategies, materials and best practices for developing online, technology-enhanced courses. 

  • ALTLab/VCU Online - Assistance with design, development, and technology; best practices in accessibility, instructional quality, and student success. They also have an Online ID Ideas Blog.

  • Virtual Open Office Hours - Provided by Learning Systems and ALTlab/VCU Online on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 12pm to 2pm and open to all faculty. The Zoom link to join is available on the ALTLab website.

  • VCU CTLE - promotes and enhances teaching effectiveness across modalities, writing and scholarship progress, and career planning through faculty-centered programs and services.

  • VCU Libraries - Access to materials, books, film, open and affordable content, workshops and assistance from library subject and research specialists.

Vendor and Community Resources

Vendors offer resources for utilizing their products, such as instructor guides and videos, user forums (communities) and information about future enhancements and features.

Other VCU Resources

  • Update your name - visit the Call Me By My Name page, which allows you to indicate a name/name of use, gender/gender identity and pronouns which will update across all VCU platforms. 

  • Login issues could be a result of a problem with your VCU eID or Password.  Your VCU eID is a username that authenticates you to many VCU web applications and electronic services.
