Submitting a Group Assignment
All students must first click on an integrated VT link created by the instructor within the course in order to establish their accounts.
LEAD GROUP MEMBER - Creating your part of the project
- Click on the assignment link in the course.
- Click “Create new VoiceThread” at the top. This will open the Create page in a new tab.
- Upload at least one slide.
- Click “Comment” at the top of the page to open the VoiceThread.
- Click on the menu in the top-left corner, and select “Share” from the menu.
- Find your course on the left side of the sharing window, and click on “Members” inside it. This will show you the list of members.
- Click on your group mates’ names.
- Click the “Edit” button on the right so it turns green.
- Click “Share”, making sure that the “Notify by email” box is checked so that classmates receive the link to your VoiceThread.
- Continue adding your slides and recording your comments for your part of the group project.
OTHER GROUP MEMBERS - Creating your part of the project
- Click on the assignment link in the course.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list on the left, and click “Add VoiceThread by link or id”.
- Enter the share link to the VoiceThread, and click “Add”. You received this after your project leader shared it in step 10 above.
- Click on the image of the VoiceThread you’re collaborating around. It will have appeared just above the place where you entered the link.
- Click the “Preview” link under the VoiceThread’s title on the right. This will open your VoiceThread in a new browser window.
- Make your edits as needed.
SUBMITTING THE ASSIGNMENT - Group leader
- Go back to the assignment in your course.
- If you don’t see the VoiceThread in the list on the left, click “refresh list” near the top of the list.
- Click on your VoiceThread. A preview will appear on the right.
- Click “Submit Assignment”.
SUBMITTING THE ASSIGNMENT - Other group members
- Go back to the assignment in your course.
- Repeat steps 12-14 above.
- Click “Submit Assignment”.
