Community Guidelines
Description: Möbius, a DigitalEd product, is a cloud-based learning platform designed to create and deploy STEM course materials for all modalities. Providing lessons, assessments, and interactive learning activities, it unfolds the potential for the STEM student to acquire knowledge at a guided yet self-defined pace. Möbius enables the following functionality:
- Robust question-type creation for various STEM areas.
- A robust pre-created content pack catalog for various STEM areas.
- Just-in-time feedback for self-paced learning with dynamic question types that provide students the opportunity to practice.
- Flexibility in question development for faculty, with both no-code and coding options, which provide flexibility for transfer of content from various systems and creation of novel content in flexible ways.
- Accessibility and security compliance with industry standards.
- Integration with Canvas to facilitate enrollments, a consistent student experience, and automation of grading.

Möbius Authoring - Take a Deeper Dive:
This demonstration is about showing how powerful and easy content authoring in Möbius really is.
- Have precise control over how your lessons and questions are delivered by configuring over 30 Möbius properties using a simplified, code-free interface.
- Save time while designing your Möbius lessons and questions by taking advantage of Policy Sets to consistently apply a defined subset of properties in bulk without needing to manually adjust individual lessons and questions

These sessions will allow you to bring your tailored needs directly to a DigitalEd support representative. You'll be able to ask questions and provide feedback. You are encouraged to immerse yourself in the tool and participate.

Möbius Training
Möbius Continuous Learning consists of two types of training: Asynchronous Mööc and Virtual In-Class Training

1. Create an account in the Möbius MÖÖC.
Once your account is created and you are logged in, you'll need to...
2. Accept the terms and conditions.
3. Click the Enroll in a Class button.
4. Check the box beside Möbius Onboarding MÖÖC and scroll to the bottom to click Enroll.
5. Click Confirm.
IMPORTANT: Only one unique link can be created through the Modules section in your Canvas course. For grades to be pushed back to Canvas, you must create multiple links through the Assignments section as shown below.

How do I Create an Assignment Allowing Students to Complete Assignments in a New Tab? - When creating your external assignment, be sure to check the "Load Tool in a New Tab" checkbox.
How do I join the Möbius MÖÖC - Go to https://learn.mobius.cloud/login and create an account. This is not connected to VCU's SSO so be sure to remember your password. If you have forgotten your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link.
How does an instructor get students registered for Möbius activities? - When a student clicks on a Möbius activity/assignment, an account will be auto-generated for them.
Can students access Möbius via the Möbius login page? - No, students can only access Möbius via a linked assignment within a course.
Does Möbius import grades directly into Canvas? - Yes, grades are automatically sent to the Canvas gradebook and there should be no need to export grades from Möbius
Are there plans to add any additional content pack subjects? - We are no longer planning on adding any additional content packs that are built out by DigitalEd.
Can users add per-built materials to the library and can those be made public? - Yes, users can add their own content that they've create to the Möbius cloud to make it public.
Can Möbius do partial credit for misspelled words (i.e. salivary could get half credit when the answer is saliva)? - Yes, this functionality can be built into the list question type.
Is the Open Stax Intro Stats textbook a fully developed course that mimics the structure of the text? - Yes. It is the textbook, but made interactive with the checkpoint questions embedded in the lessons, as well as end of chapter assignments, as described here https://www.digitaled.com/
